The book is taking place in Britain and there is complete chaos. Britain is being governed by a group of Fascist called Nosfire that have people suffering and the are in misery under there law. There is many cool characters and my favorite character is Mister Almond. In reality he is my favorite character because I he has a really cool name but he is the bad guy after all. I have read a Dystopian book but this book is very interesting and confusing at the same time. This book does indeed take place on earth but this earth seems like a hell hole that nobody would want to live in. It takes place in the 1900's going into the 2000's. Overall I am really enjoying the book and have really liked the characters in the book so far.
I will comment on Mariela's and Kaycee's.

The New York Times April 9, 2018 "The Jamaican Who Isn’t Sure He Wants to Play for Jamaica" By Rory Smith TNYT Post Link Leon Bailey Butler is a Phenomenal young player that is currently playing forBayer Leverkusen a German soccer club. Leon Bailey is a Jamaican that is 20 years old and he is worth over 45 million Euros. He grew up on Kingston, Jamaica with an adoptive father Craig Butler. His first professional club to ever join was Genk a Belgium club later on he was wanted by many big name clubs such as Manchester United and Chelsea. He then signed a 20 million contract deal with Bayer Leverkusen and was nominated as the Young Footballer of the Year award. His goal in the Europa League against Rapid Wien on 15 September 2016 was chosen as the top goal of the competition for the 2016–17 season by UEFA. Leon Bailey is currently struggling to choose a National team to play for and represent in the future. In soccer there is a time where you must choose a national team to represent in the World cup. He is deciding to play for England,Germany, or Jamaica. The problem is that he is one hundred percent Jamaican and he personally said this in a interview with FIFA. Many people would consider you a traitor for betraying your home country and going to play for another national team. Leon Bailey is taking a lot of hate from Jamaica and this could cause him to drift away from his country and just go play with another country. This would be tragic for Jamaica becasue he is a great player with tons of talent and this could be Jamaica's chance to win the World cup in the future. My personal opinion on this matter is that he is indeed betraying his country becasue many before him have done the same and and they have gotten a really bad reputation for this action. I think that many people leave or choose to not play for their home country because either they have bad chemistry with the team or the team is just really bad and they want a better team. It's totally understandable becasue everyone wants a chance to win the World cup and it's a really big deal. To win the World cup you need a really good team not just a alright team. Either way you should play for your home country no matter what and stand by your country good or not. I will comment on Caleb and Sasha's Post The New York Times March 5, 2018 "Why Skeleton Racing Is So Brutal on the Body"By CLIVE THOMPSON TNYT The article is about the exciting dangers of Skeleton racing. Skeleton racing is a winter sliding sport in which a person rides a small sled, known as a skeleton bobsled (or -sleigh), down a frozen track while lying face down and head-first. How they start seems really sketchy because they have get a running start then throw themselves onto the sled and be as straight as possible to get the most momentum. Falling and missing the sled would be tragic and just embarrassing in general. Honestly it sounds really fun and it would just be so thrilling to be going to down an icy track. In the article it talks about how Skeleton racing wears down your body very quickly . Many Skeleton racers say its a very uncomfortable position to be in when riding the sled. Being in this uncomfortable position affects the body in various ways and can damage your body internally. Turning is the most dangerous part becasue it can produce up to 5 G forces. Your head suddenly feels like a bowling ball and next thing you know you are struggling to keep your head from touching the ice. Many people have had severe accidents that can really damage your body and that is why Skeleton racing a considered a contact sport. Although Skeleton racing "can" be very dangerous it is still an amazing sport that is really fun to watch. My opinion on Skeleton racing is that it seems to be a very hard sport to do and it takes massive courage to compete in this sport. Your body may suffer from many of the issues that can happen to your body like the crackling pressure or the major force that affects your back. Like said before it must feel amazing and so thrilling to be going over 80mph in a Skeleton sled. Overall I think that Skeleton racing is an amazing sport that many enjoy and can be excitingly dangerous. I will comment on Matthew and Sasha's Blog Post Well, In the ending it was a very interesting and somewhat confusing story. The name of the story was called Skin Deep. What mainly happens in the story id that there is a women know throughout the village that has wishing powers and helps those in need of things. Unfortunately, she was born with a birthmark on her face which makes her look hideous and everyone knows about it. She decides to make a wish to change her face but the change is only temporary. One day she finds a man bleeding and is in very much need of help. She helps him and wishes him good health and over the days the man falls in love with the women. The man wants her to come with him and marry him because she is so beautiful but the only problem is when the wish wears off on her face the man decides to not make her his bride. In the end she gets him back by putting a curse on him and making him look hideous for the rest of his pathetic life. If I would to continue this story I would make it so that when the man gets back no one would want him and people would shame him. Meanwhile the women gets her payback and she lives happily ever after. I would definitely recommend this to a friend this has multiple stories that are interesting and mysterious. I loved this book and the energy it had was just fantastic and phenomenal.
I will comment on Sasha and Matthew's post The book I am reading is Curses, Inc. Its divided up into ten stories that incorporate curses in someway. A witch named Edanna that has a magical website named Curses Inc plays tricks on kids and makes there curses come true but they are not cheap a well long lasting curse on someone can cost about 1 to 2,000 dollars. In the first story a kid asks a girl out to a dance and later on he thinks about his decision and decides its not worth his money spending money on the dance. The kid ends up getting humiliated and called out for being stingy by the whole school. He decides to surf through the internet and finds Curses inc. He starts wasting money on curses but turns out that the girl had already set a curse on him and it was to spend all his money curse. He spent all his money and the girl came out winning at the end of everything. The lesson in this story if you are a total flake then bad things are are going to happen to you, like they say Karma is a B**ch. I think in the next few stories Edanna the witch is going to play more tricks on some kids but this time the curses are going to be even worse the the first story. I predict that someone is going to get seriously hurt with one of the curses and bad things are going to happen. I really enjoy the book so far. It has me hooked on and It leaves me with wanting to read more and more. I hope the upcoming stories only get more interesting and twisted. I will comment on Sasha Rashid and Matthew Arucan's Blog Post New York Times Jan 25, 2018 "Billions of Plastic Pieces Litter Coral in Asia and Australia" by Vero Nique Greenwood The article is about how litter like plastic is spreading over the seas. Specifically in the coral in Asia and Australia. It talks about how there is billions of pieces of plastic in the ocean and how its affecting the environment underwater in a big way. What is happening is that countries that have a very poor plan to handle pollution have a higher chance to have lots of bacteria in there coral reefs. When plastic bottle caps get into the ocean which has lots of bacteria can infects the corals in these countries. hey estimate that reefs across the Asia-Pacific region are littered with more than 11 billion pieces of plastic. They also estimate that it would go up in the incoming years. Do you realize how much plastic that is its enough to reach around earth 14 times. This is becoming a problem along with global warming and pollution and these ocean plastic problems should be on that list as well. I think that this is becoming or already is such a big problem because lots of people don't know what is happening and how plastic is affecting the oceans drastically. At this rate the ocean would be filled with plastic and this doesn't just send bacteria into the ocean what happens is that bacteria and cause infections and diseases and can kill mass populations of sea animals. Overall this is a very big and ongoing problem that we seek a solution to in the future. I will comment on Micah Hacker and Jeremy Ongs Blog Post.
